Honey I'm Home!

I am finally settled into my new apartment! I officially moved in on Tuesday, but for the days leading up to this weekend I have been unpacking, relocating furniture, cleaning and building an Ikea couch (handy Mandy over here). Today was the first day where I felt like there was nothing more to do! I have located the bike room in my apartment building, so I no longer have to carry my bike up two flights of stairs! I have also mastered the bike ride to work, unlike the first day where my 16 minute ride turned into a 43 minute ride leaving me lost on East Hastings (for the true BC in BC fans that is where my first, not-so-pleasant hotel was).
My roommate doesn't move in until the 19th, so in the mean time I can still walk around without pants on! I have officially become an adult, doing groceries on my own for the first time (although my mom was on the phone with me...) I planned on putting all of the groceries in my backpack, and then biking back to my apartment, but as a naive first time shopper I didn't realize how many groceries I would truly need! Instead my bike became my cart, and I hung 5 groceries bags off of my handlebars, walking back to my place.
So far I have already had a wacky weekend! I woke up and walked to the nearest Indigo (rip chapters x2) and bought a new book for this weekend. As I was walking back from the book store, I noticed two twins on the street. Instantly I realized that it was Jacqueline and Joyce Robbins, better known as Count Olaf's White-Faced Henchmen in the new A Series of Unfortunate Events Netflix show with Neil Patrick Harris! I frantically asked them if they were from the show, and they sparked up a conversation with me! They asked my name, and both asked if they could hug me (which I obviously said yes to). They told me more about the third season and even complimented my Lumineers t-shirt! I was too excited to remember to ask for a photograph, but they told me that they are from Vancouver so hopefully I will see them again on the streets! For those who need a refresh as to what they look like, I will attach a photo below!
Overall moving was hectic and a lot of work, but I am feeling settled alas and I am starting to learn the area!
A starstruck but settled,
BC
